  Origin of Name: „Duresse“ = „fence“; „Bas“ indicates the lower section of the vineyard.
 
Climat du Val 8.37 ha Alain Creusefond, Jean-Pierre Prunier  
  Origin of Name: „Val“ derives from the Latin vallis, or „valley“. This is the only Premieru Cru in Burgundy to include „Climat“ as part of the vineyard name.
 
Clos du Val 0.93 ha Michel Prunier, Philippe Prunier-Damy „Clos du Val“ is located within the larger „Climat du Val“.

   Origin of Name: „Bréterins“ is derived from the Old French brechton, or „falcon“. Falcons were once raised and trained here for sport.
