Assemblage

  • Principal varieties must account for at least 80% of the blend.

  • Blanc: 14% (12% acquired)
  • SGN: 17% (12% acquired)

Minimum Must Weight

  • Blanc: 221 g/l
  • SGN: 255 g/l 

Enrichment

  • Chaptalization is prohibited for SGN wines

Minimum Residual Sugar

  • Blanc: 45 g/l
  • SGN: 85 g/l

Harvest Method

  • Grapes may be affected by botrytis, and must be hand-harvested in successive tries.

  • Blanc: Wines may not be released until June 1 of the year following the harvest
  • SGN: Wines may not be released until June 15 of the second year following the harvest

Minimum Planting Density

  • 4,000 vines per hectare
