Summary

Agricola San Felice is named for a church on the property with records dating to the early eighth century. Members of the Grisaldi del Taja family oversaw production on the land for hundreds of years, and they were founding members of the Consorzio del Vino Chianti Classico. In 1968, the estate was passed on to Enzo Morganti, who is credited with releasing the first Super Tuscan wine, Vigorello, that year. The estate was then purchased and renovated by the Allianz Group in the 1970s. Campogiovanni in Montalcino was added to their holdings in 1982. The Super Tuscan line includes a focus on the ancient Pugnitello grape.

Style & Vinification Techniques

San Felice focuses on traditional winemaking with its Sangiovese-based wines but remains innovative and modern with respect to its top Super Tuscan wines.
