Summary

Siduri, named for the Babylonian goddess of wine, was founded by Adam Lee and Dianna Novy, Texas natives who moved to California to pursue the dream of becoming winemakers. They worked at small Sonoma wineries for years before the first vintage of Siduri Wines in 1994. Adam hand-delivered an unsolicited bottle of 1994 Rose Vineyard Pinot Noir to a hotel where Robert Parker was staying, and Parker liked it – sparking demand for Siduri right out of the gate. Siduri produces single-vineyard Pinot Noir from over 20 different sites across California and Oregon, making the wines in Santa Rosa. The couples’ success culminated with the sale of the winery to Jackson Family Wines in 2015, though Adam continues as winemaker.

Style & Vinification Techniques

Wines are separated in the cellar by vineyard, lot, block, and clone. Typically, each lot will cold soak for five days before fermentation. Whole cluster inclusion and new French oak vary by lot, but generally, neither exceeds 30 to 40%. All wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
