Aging Requirements

  • Vino Tostado: min. 6 months in oak or cherry cask and at least 3 months in bottle
  • Wines labelled „Barrica“ must spend at least a portion of their maturation in casks no larger than 600 Liters

Additional Requirements for Vino Espumoso

  • Wines may Brut (maximum of 12 g/l) or Brut Nature (maximum of 3 g/l)
  • Wine may only be produced with recommended varieties, Garnacha Tintorera, Tempranillo, Palomino and Albillo are not permitted
  • No minimum time on lees has been established

Additional Requirements for Vino Tostado

  • Only recommended grape varieties permitted 
  • Min. must weight of 350 g/l
  • Drying process for grapes must last a min. of 3 months
  • Min. residual sugar: 120 g/l

Maximum Planting Density

  • 7,000 vines per hectare

Maximum Yields

  • 13,000kg /ha or 96.2 hl per ha for recommended white grapes, 12,000 kg or 88.8 hl per ha for recommended red grapes
  • 19,000kg or 140.6 hl per ha for accessory grapes
  • Maximum press yield is 74 liters/100 kg (72 liters/100kg for Castes, Barrica, and Espumosa)
  • Vino Tostado Grapes: 12,000 kg/ha or 70 hl per ha; press yield 40 liters/100 kg of raisins
