Summary
DiamAndes was founded in 2005 by the Bonnie family, owners of Château Malartic-Lagravière in Graves and Château Gazin Rocquencourt in Pessac-Léognan. In addition to its own winemaking, it is one of the four participants in the Clos de los Siete project, a collaborative label of four neighboring wineries spearheaded and blended by Michel Rolland. The estate consists of one contiguous 130-hectare vineyard, a portion of the larger 850-hectare Clos de los Siete. Philippe García and Ramiro Balliro are the winemakers at DiamAndes, while Rolland consults.
Style & Vinification Techniques
The grapes for the top wines are harvested and sorted manually. The DiamAndes winery is designed for gravity flow production. Fermentation takes place in 64 small, temperature-controlled, double-jacketed stainless steel tanks.
