Summary

The bodega’s noble name dates to 1760 and 1897 but the marquis of Real Tesoro has no ownership interest in the winery anymore. The modern history of the bodega began in 1982 when it was purchased by José Estévez of Grupo Estévez (now owners of Valdespino and La Guita). Today the soleras are stored in the same modern facilities as Valdespino. They are most prominently recognized for their Tío Mateo Fino which was purchased from Harvey’s in 1993.

Style & Vinification Techniques

The Tío Mateo Fino is from three criaderas, around six-years-old.
