Summary
In 2005, Marco Belleli purchased the property for Villanoviana, which was then dedicated to farmland and olive groves. Since its inception, Villanoviana has focused on organic farming practices and preservation of the surrounding Etruscan history. In addition to wine, the estate produces olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Style & Vinification Techniques
All farming is done by hand, without mechanization. No chemicals are used in the vineyards. Fermentations occur in concrete with ambient yeasts, and macerations last about three weeks. Wines are aged in concrete and a mix of used and new French barriques.
