Grape Varieties

    • max. 20% other non-aromatic black grapes approved for production in Napoli.
  • Varietal Falanghina/ Piedirosso/Pér e Palummo: Wines must contain min. 90% of the stated variety.

  • Bianco: 10.5%
  • Varietal Falanghina: 11%
  • Rosso: 11.5%
  • Varietal Piedirosso/Pér e Palummo (Rosso/Rosato): 11.5%
  • Falanghina Spumante: 11.5%
  • Falanghina Passito: 15% potential (12% acquired)
  • Piedirosso Passito: 17% potential (12% acquired if sweet, 14% acquired if dry)

Minimum Total Acidity

  • Bianco/Rosso: 5 g/l

  • Falanghina Spumante: 6 g/l

Aging Requirements

  • Varietal Piedirosso/Pér e Palummo Riserva: Wines must be aged min. 2 years from November 1 of the year of harvest.

Additional Requirements

  • Wines must be vintage dated, with the exception of Spumante.

Minimum Planting Density

  • 2,000 vines per hectare

Maximum Yields

  • Bianco: 12 tons/ha (120 quintals/ha)
  • Rosso: 10 tons/ha (100 quintals/ha)
