    • 60-85% Sangiovese,
    • 5-30% Cabernet Sauvignon,
    • 5-30% Malvasia Nera di Basilicata,
    • 5-30% Montepulciano,
    • max 10% combined other non-aromatic red grapes suitable for cultivation in Basilicata region.

Minimum Alcohol

  • Bianco: 11%
  • Rosato: 11.5%
  • Rosso: 12%
  • Rosso Riserva: 13%

Minimum Total Acidity

  • Bianco: 5 g/l
  • Rosato/Rosso/Rosso Riserva: 4.5 g/l

Aging Requirements

  • Bianco/Rosato: Wines must be aged for min. 5 months from November 1 of the year the grapes were harvested.
  • Rosso: Wines must be aged for min. 9 months from November 1 of the year the grapes were harvested.
  • Rosso Riserva: Wines must be aged for min. 36 months from November 1 of the year the grapes were harvested.

Minimum Planting Density

  • 3,300 vines per hectare

Maximum Yields

  • 8 tons/ha
