Summary

Pierre Giraud and his wife, Mireille, started growing grapes on four hectares of property in 1974, but it wasn’t until 1981 that they established the domaine, and not until 1998 that they began to estate-bottle their own wines. Pierre and Mireille have expanded from their original four to a current 19 hectares of vineyards, which are spread throughout the appellation in the lieux dits of La Crau, Pignan, Les Terres Blanches and Les Gallimards. Their one hectare of white grapes are exclusively located in the lieu-dit Les Gallimardes.

Style & Vinification Techniques

Winemaking at Domaine Giraud is semi-modern. Grapes are de-stemmed, and the wines are aged in a combination of steel tank and concrete. The Syrah is aged in small oak barrels.
