Grape Varieties

  • Bianco:
    • min. 85% Falanghina,

  • Rosso:
    • min. 60% Aglianico,
    • max. 40% Piedirosso,
    • max 15% other grapes suitable for production in Campania.
  • Primitivo:
    • min. 85% Primitivo,
    • max. 15% combined Aglianico, Barbera and/or Piedirosso.

Minimum Alcohol

  • Bianco: 12%
  • Rosso/Rosso Riserva: 12.5%
  • Primitivo/Primitivo Riserva: 13%

Minimum Total Acidity

  • Bianco: 5 g/l
  • Rosso/Rosso Riserva: 4.5 g/l

Aging Requirements

  • Rosso/Primitivo: Wines must be aged for min. 1 year from January 1 of the year after harvest.
  • Rosso Riserva/Primitivo Riserva/Vecchio: Wines must be aged for min. 2 years, including min. 1 year in wood.

Minimum Planting Density

  • 3,500 vines per hectare

Maximum Yields

  • 10 tons/ha
