Aging Requirements

  • Rosso: Wines may be released March 1 on the year following harvest.
  • Rosso Riserva: Wines must be aged for a min. 2 years from November 1 on the year of harvest, including min 9 months in wood.
  • Terre di Casauria: Wines must be aged for a min. 18 months from November 1 on the year of harvest, including min. 9 months in wood and 6 months in bottle.
  • Terre di Casauria Riserva/Terre dei Vestini: Wines must be aged for a min. 2 years from November 1 on the year of harvest, including min. 9 months in wood and 6 months in bottle.
  • Terre dei Vestini: Wines must be aged for a min. 18 months from November 1 on the year of harvest, including min. 9 months in wood and 3 months in bottle.
  • Alto Tirino: Wines must be aged for a min. 12 months from November 1 on the year of harvest.
  • Alto Tirino Riserva: Wines must be aged for a min. 30 months from November 1 on the year of harvest.
  • Terre dei Peligni: Wines must be aged for a min. 2 years from November 1 on the year of harvest, including min. 9 months in wood.
  • Terre dei Peligni Riserva: Wines must be aged for a min. 30 months from November 1 on the year of harvest, including min. 9 months in wood.
  • Teate: Wines must be aged for a min. 21 months from November 1 on the year of harvest, including min. 9 months in wood.
  • Teate Riserva: Wines must be aged for a min. 30 months from November 1 on the year of harvest, including min. 9 months in wood.

Minimum Planting Density

  • 2,500 vines per hectare 
  • Pergola Vines: 1,600 vines per hectare (except Alto Tirino and Terre dei Peligni)
  • Alto Tirino: 4,000 vines per hectare
