Wine dates back as far as 5th Century BC in India and Sanjay tell us about the history and the main regions and producers. India is a big consumer of spirits (whisky in particular) but wine is becoming more of a lifestyle choice although it is still a very small industry with only 100 producers, of which 75 are located in the Maharashtra region, and only 1 tablespoon of wine per capita consumption!
