We explore how higher pitch sounds bring out different flavours in wines compared to lower pitch sounds and how the easiest tastes to match are sweetness (high pitch) and bitterness (low pitch, brassy sounds). This something we learn as humans from birth, but tastes we acquire later in life e.g. sour, salty, are more difficult to find music matches for. All this research is being used by high-end, exclusive bars and restaurants to create the ultimate multi-sensory experience for guests.
