The Swedish Alcohol Monopoly, Systembolaget, was introduced in 1955 to unite a number of different monopolies that had been operating across the country. The monopoly exists in order to regulate the sale of alcohol and thereby help society to drink responsibly.

The monopoly seems to be working – 10 years ago research showed 66% of people wanted to keep the monopoly and today that has increased to 77%.
They have around 430 stores to serve a population of 10 million with another 450 pick up points for online orders. We talk about pricing, supply and distribution.
