Andy Smith, UK finance director for Accolade Wines Europe, talks to us about future plans and how consumer trends are used in forecasting and how through portfolio management, the company hopes to anticipate what their consumers want – not just in terms of wine styles but the packaging and different unit sizes. Current trends include the comeback of Chardonnay and a new variety, white Grenache, and for the future, Accolade has quite a number of products in the NPD pipeline.
