Episode 567 – Sorcha Holloway on the UK Wine Hour
Sorcha is the founder and host of #ukwinehour which she started in 2015 and has been gaining momentum and followers ever since. Its a wine chat on Twitter which happens at the same time each week from 7pm to 8pm on a Thursday evening. Each week there is a theme or a special guest from the wine trade and Sorcha structures the hour by posing up to 6 questions around a topic for followers to discuss. The weekly chat brings people together from all walks of life, with a mix of consumers and wine trade professionals.

Recent guests have included Liz Gabay MW and Miles Beale, Chief Exec of the WSTA and shows are often sponsored by wine companies. The conversation can be light-hearted and fun while delving deeper into wine topics of the day.
The hashtag to use is #ukwinehour to follow along and get involved. Sorcha also organises live events from time to time so that followers can meet each other in real life and put names to faces.
